She may not like most men, but she does like to toy with their emotions and she also likes the company. Her son is often away. Ravenna loves the feel of anothers soul fighting inside her, as she knows that soul is keeping her young. Ravenna loves magic, even if sometimes it comes at a price. She likes to feel powerful. Ravenna is not a nice person, and she dislikes those who call for mercy as if they think she will give it. Ravenna hates old age. She hates the idea that with old age looks wither. Ravenna hates ugliness in herself. She refuses to grow old and she refuses to be ugly. Hence the soul stealing. To Ravenna love is a weakness that she will not tolerate. She loved neither of her husbands though they died thinking she did. Ravenna despises her step daughter. Her beauty makes her a threat to Ravenna. Ravenna is stubborn when she believes her ways to be right there is no changing her mind. Ravenna's beauty is a strength to her, she entrances the men of the court till they do her bidding. Due to her wicked nature, she is not as limited in her ways as a 'good' queen would be. She can do what she wants to make sure her kingdom prospers. She has lost allies due to her stubbornness therefore although being a strength too, it is a weakness. She can not have the respect of her people due to her vicious nature, she rules by fear not respect. Ravenna may not care for people, but she does care for her son, and she would do anything to make sure he lives.

OVERALL HISTORY Ravenna's life has never been normal, she was born into a poor family, and from her very first day she began to grow into her powers. Starting from when the nurse started cutting the umbilical cord. She started to suck the soul from the nurse, luckily the nurse never noticed, and no one else could have. Her powers were unseen. As she grew older she was doted on, her child like beauty got her by, and when she was old enough her true beauty got her everything she wanted. Her mother cautioned her as she got older, that using her magic for beauty would not come of any good to her. She told her she should use it to defend herself and the kingdom. That she could be a great warrier, but Ravenna wanted more than that.
She taught herself to control her power, and taught herself to steal the beauty of others by taking their souls. So she remained beautiful this meant she had a lot of admirers take a fancy to her. Including a Lord from Jamoq, whom she married aged 16, she did not bear him a child for 2 years, and she used his wealth as a tool to buy herself better things. After his murder, supposedly at the hands of pirates, she was 20, and she ran off, to look after her child, she raised him to be like her, but unlike her, he was not born with the power to steal souls, but he did learn quickly, he learnt necromancy and other useful magics. Her son was 30 by the time she returned to Jamoq. When she did, the new king, Alvarr took fancy to her, like the old king had, and seeing as his wife had died in childbirth he asked for her hand, which she said yes too. She would be queen and nothing would stop her. The child was a little bit of a problem, but she planned to steal the childs soul as the child was a beauty. Like she had been and still was.
So on the wedding night, she attacked. The king was dead, poisoned by theirs who took his sword and crown (something she arranged) and she was named the queen, with her 'brother' to advise her. Due to her youthful looks they had to change what they called themselves, as it was weird to have a son who looked older than you. Most people believe Daniel died as a teenager. She has been on the throne for 17 years now, and even look 30 yet. She fears that the kings daughter is leading a rebellion. As in failing to kill her, she sent her away. She has reigned over the people of Jamoq installing fear into their hearts. She was born with black hair, but use of magic has turned her hair blond over time.YO!
