OVERALL PERSONALITY 
Mel is on of those people in the word that tries to see the good in everybody. She will give someone multiple chances to set things right. Shes also very trusting but not to the point of being  gullible. She's also very caring, if to we're to have a bad day or you're upset than she would try and cheer you up and make you feel better before ever thinking about herself. Others always come first. She does have a slight temper but really the only ways to set it off are to baby her because of her eyes, she hates it when people think she can't do anything because of them.  Some habits of hers are to bite the palm of her hand when she's nervous or excited, rub her eyes when she's tired and she cries when she's mad. Like really mad often giving the other person the wrong idea on the way the argument Is going.

OVERALL HISTORY Stephan and Joni met about two years before Mel was born. They were happy, an easy going relationship and his business was booming. About a year later they had William. He wasn't expected but a rather happy surprise. But now there was pressure on the young couple to get married and this was causing some conflict between the two. He hadn't been ready and she was. They stayed together for another year and continued to argue over it. That's when Melanie came along, another surprise. This time their parents were pushing for a wedding before she was even born. Her mother couldn't take it anymore and fled to another kingdom with the children. There she had Mel and it was discovered she was blind from birth. Now this was a bit nerve racking for her now single mother and the over protectiveness was insane. But Mel got along just fine and her brother was always there to help her. Though one time she slipped away from her mother and brother and found her way to a small lake near by. She fell into the water by accident, not knowing what was going on the five year old nearly drowned until a local fishermen noticed her and pulled her out. Let's just say she wasn't out of her mothers sight for a long time. Around  the time Mel was eight her mother started seeing another man. This time wedding bells did fallow. Mel didn't really care for the guy and had some friend track down her father in Venius. Since then she's been bouncing back and forth between her two homes, living with both her parents at different times. She prefers her fathers home was it is quieter and she doesn't Have to worry about an over protective mother hanging over her shoulder. Now that she is an adult it has gotten better and she hopes to explore a little more.
