Erica smiled to herself. She glanced at the ring on her left ring finger. She couldn't wait for the time that she would wake up to two rings on her ring finger. She ran her finger over the intricate details of the ring. It had been Carey Orion's once, and she was glad to have it. She felt guilty. One night Peter had accidentally revealed Simon's true parentage and she still had yet to tell Simon. She didn't know how to. It was a sensitive topic to breach. Simon was one of those people, who didn't take news like that well, but the longer she waited.
The more guilty she felt. She wanted to hate Peter for telling her, even if by accident. She walked down the pathway to the town centre. It was one of those times when she was away from the Scholar Guild, and she had gone to town to shop for her and Simon. She wondered what might happen. She wanted so much to be pregnant, she just felt like they should wait. It was frowned upon to have a baby before marriage, a reason why the miscarriage was a secret to everyone. Except 3 people. Simon, herself and somehow Austin. She still had not worked out how Austin had found out.
She was so into her own thoughts, that she wasn't paying attention to who was in front of her. She bumped into someone's back, and stumbled back. βI'm sorry, I really didn't mean to bump into you, you aren't hurt are you?β she asked horrified at her action. She felt a small twinge in her stomach. Although no physical damaged after the miscarriage, she occasionally got pains in her stomach, she thought it was her bodies way of telling her not to forget her baby. Not that she ever could. βIs there anything I can do to make it up to you?β she asked quickly. Erica hated hurting people, and she hated to be unhelpful.
