Zoe frowned as she sat down in part of the Waste Land. She liked it here - it was an escape from Blake and there was hardly ever many people here. Also, although there were some tigers here, it was a good practise for trying to repel her poison. She lazily got up from her position and headed towards where she had spotted a flower a little while ago. Picking it up with one of her gloved hands, she inspected it for about ten seconds, twirling it around with her telekinesis. Still not smiling, she watched as it slowly froze over, the frost and ice gradually covering it - from the bottom to the top; winding elegantly upwards. Once the plant / flower was entirely frozen, she lifted her hand up, straightened her fingers and tensed them so that her hand was entirely straight and firm. With a quick swipe the flower shattered, bits of ice going everywhere. A smirk appeared on her face - this never got boring no matter how many times she did it. Maybe soon she'd be able to do it with her mind.
A set of heavy footprints dragged her out of her thoughts and alerted her that she was, in fact, not alone any more. Briskly turning around, her eyes widened when she saw a tiger only a few mere feet away from her. She froze, not knowing what to do. The tiger took this for it's advantage and jumped towards her, aiming to attack her. Swiftly dodging and rolling onto the floor; wincing at the hard and painful landing. She barely had time to think before the tiger lashed out at her once again. Next, she levitated some of the stone and twigs around her and threw them at the animal. It stunned the mammal for a few seconds so she decided to try freezing it to the spot. It worked as she saw it struggling and trying to break free from its bonds with no avail. Relaxing, she wiped the beads of sweat off her forehead and sat down, breathing heavily (hey, she was physically weak). Looking around to see if anyone was near her, she carefully tugged off her gloves and stared at her hands which were so pale and soft from not seeing the light much and not having much contact with other things. But this moment of tranquil did not last for long as she soon heard the sound of ice cracking and the tigers footsteps bounding towards her. Shifting her body around, she was scared to see the tiger heading straight for her. By now it was too late to put her gloves back on and there wasn't enough time to defend herself. So the only thing she could do was to try and touch it. Diving onto the floor, elbows painfully grazing the floor; she gently pressed her hand against the tiger. As expected, it stumbled and passed out but at least it didn't die or hurt her. Quickly, she pulled her gloves on again, fearful that someone might have seen what she had done.
